Most often, I work with families in an ongoing advisory relationship where I serve as their personal CFO. This includes financial planning (retirement, estate, investment-related tax, insurance, other financial) and investment management for an asset-based fee.
Occasionally, I may agree to a one-time financial planning project for a flat or hourly-based fee under the right circumstances if an individual is not interested in having their assets managed.
A true personal CFO should be strictly independent and objective. That means no commissions. No conflicts.
